Sandwell MIND's Midnight Star Walk launches Mental Health Awareness Week

It was a surprisingly mild night in October.  The park was almost empty and some of the areas were pitch-black.  Then the bells rang out from a nearby church and at the stroke of twelve, we were off!

No, not the beginning of a horror story, but the beginning of Sandwell Mind's Midnight Star Walk, which was held in Victoria Park, Smethwick on the evening on Saturday 8th October.  Staff, service users, friends and relatives walked around Victoria Park 4 times covering a distance of 5 km.

The event was the start of mental health awareness week 10-14 October and is the start of a week of events run by Sandwell Mind, which finishes with a Quiz Night on 14 Friday.
