DLA reform and Personal Independence Payment – completing the detailed design

The government this week launched a fresh consultation on completing the detailed design for the Personal Independence Payment. This consultation seeks views on the Government’s proposals on some of the benefit rules underpinning Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and Attendance Allowance.

These rules will inform the development of secondary legislation. It also provides further information on policy decisions that have now been made. The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) is keen to hear views from all interested parties but in particular from disabled people and disability organisations. Documents for the consultation can be downloaded below.

Further information about the Personal Independence Payment can be found at www.dwp.gov.uk/pip The consultation started on Monday 26 March 2012. It will end on Saturday 30 June. Please ensure your response reaches the DWP by that date. You can respond by email or post to: Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
