Disability Living Allowance Reform Consultation

The government has launched a consultation on its proposal to replace Disability Living Allowance (DLA) with a new benefit – the Personal Independence Payment. The government state that the Personal Independence Payment will continue to be a non-means tested, extra costs benefit and will help disabled people remove the barriers they face to leading full and independent lives. The closing date for responses to the Government consultation is 14 February 2011
